WWSRA On-Snow Demo at Mission Ridge Day 1

Right after the SIA Tradeshow,retailers and industry don’t have to go far to check out the latest gear on the mountain. The WWSRA hosts a bunch of on-snow demos around the US with alot of the brands from SIA being present.  The Northwest demo was just east of Stevens Pass at Mission Ridge, WA. It’s a smaller ski hill but with all the components of fun, fast riding and was closed yesterday to the public so we ended up having full reign for the mountain on a beautiful bluebird day.

Yesterday was also the first mountain experience back in the NW and it was great to return, see familiar faces and try out gear with new friends. For some reason, the Ride Buckwild base graphic was pretty fun to show off. Normally I’d be working, dreaming of experiencing this stuff and now I’m able to do exactly what I want when I want. It’s pretty amazing.

I spent more time on each board at this demo, having a bit more fun with hot laps. I took out the Salomon Powder Snake with Halogram bindings, the Ride Buckwild with Flux DMCC bindings, the Lobster Freestyle Baord with DMCC bindings and the Jones Mothership (Women’s Flagship) with Union Trilogies.

Day 2 is up next and it looks like it won’t be a bluebird day but more opportunity to shred and have fun. After this I’ll be making my way up to Mt Baker to check out the Legendary Banked Slalom.
