Intended Purpose: The Coal V-Neck Gator is a two sided micro tech fleece designed to be lightweight and bandana style for the mountain.
Appearance: I received the V-Neck Gator in the purple colorway which is entirely purple with the coal branding all over. I like the bright color but there are other options that aren’t as bright.
Best Used for: The V-neck Gator is designed to be a bandana style gaitor for neck warmth or over the face coverage on the mountain. It’s lightweight with a v-shaped hem that tucks into your clothing on the mountain.
Fit: The V-neck Gator is one size fits all, it’s stretchy and adjustable so it fits me comfortably. If I need the mask to stay covered over my face, I just tuck it under my goggles to hold it up.
Durability: No issues so far with using this mask. I’ve ridden with it at Northstar on a snowy day and many sunny cold days at Mammoth so far this season. It hasn’t decreased in stretchiness and is in great condition.
Thoughts: The start to the season hasn’t been much for powder but there has been snow and cold temperatures during some of it. I’ve been using the Coal V-neck as my facemask for the majority of riding days so far.
Review Disclosure: This product was given to me by Coal.
