Snow matters. Good snow conditions can help bring out skiers and snowboarders while bad conditions can mean finding other things to do instead of skiing/riding. I got back yesterday into town with a clear drive over Yosemite which is insane that there is no snow on that pass right now.
I knew what to expect today: lift lines, manmade snow and a higher injury of collisions because of packed people on slim runs. After taking care of errands this morning, we headed up to the slopes to get our turns in before the masses arrived.
Tomorrow I’ll be off the mountain with errands and taking my dog to the Vet but back on snow Thursday. Arbor Coda review is coming up soon!

December 28, 2011 at 1:52 amGlad to see you’re still enjoying the snow! Im so sorry mammoth hasnt lived up to its reputation this winter. Lets hope that changes soon! Come by Wave Rave soon, I would love to introduce you to the owner, he would probably be stoked to provide some demos and help with your site! Do you see Dr. Tessla? Hes been my vet since I moved up here and I like him a lot, I hope everything with your pup is going well!

December 28, 2011 at 7:52 pmDavid, it’s open and completely dry. The lakes are frozen for ice skating but that’s the only sign of winter on Tioga right now. It’s bad but nice to have a 5 hour drive to San Jose.
Sarah, definitely enjoying it. I won’t be in Mammoth much longer, just a couple more weeks and I’ll be leaving town but can definitely come by the shop. Dog is okay, needs more tests done to figure out the growth on her neck but hopefully it’s nothing serious.

December 29, 2011 at 8:59 amWhat a drag. Not much snow in Colorado either. I might have to take some time out and drive to Wolf Creek. They at least have some snow. Heading up to Summit next week for my annual, week long trip. Think I’ll pack some shorts and a skateboard.
