October 24, 2011 at 7:37 amI need this back pack so I will have my hands free to wipe all the snow out of my goggles after I face plant in massive powder!!

October 24, 2011 at 7:56 amI hate carrying a bag anywhere, but I’m finally conceding to the fact that I need one. I’ve never had a snowpack and have always kept everything in my pockets, but it’s becoming a nuisance! The weight pulls my pants down because their ancient buttons aren’t snappy anymore, and my wallet always comes home soaked. I need this backpack!

October 24, 2011 at 8:12 amI need a place to stuff my camera gear, my food, my friends’ food (ugh) and my extra goggles because I tend to face plant often in pow (lol)

October 24, 2011 at 8:24 amI need this bag because I demolished 2 lesser bags last season at Mt Baldy, and I hope not to have to resort to having stuffed pockets and a hydration pack duct-taped to my back this year. I’m not exactly fashion forward, but I have a feeling the bulgy-pocket-duct-taped hobo look is not “in” this year in LA.

October 24, 2011 at 8:26 amI need this backpack for the 3, 10th Mountain Division hut trips I’m doing this winter. The last 2 winters I’ve used shoelaces to tie my board to my backpack. I would really enjoy having a backpack that’s made for carrying my snowboard….

October 24, 2011 at 8:36 amYo K2! I need this backpack, I mean really need it. I don’t just want it, I need it. I gotta have it. The world is an ever smaller place, but if I don’t get that pack, it’s gonna feel like it just became massively bigger and I will be swallowed up in a huge packless black hole. Come on dudes… Please see it to it’s rightful home – on my back. PS Loving your work dudes… Peace

October 24, 2011 at 8:51 amI am going to be coaching a high school snowboard team this winter and I’m sure during contests and just cruising around they are goin to want me to hold stuff for them like cameras, water bottles and so on. Also this season going to be filming a lot and going on a backcountry trip to mt. Baker. So this would be awesome!

October 24, 2011 at 9:49 amHi Shay! I just moved to Denver from Minneapolis. I could really use a pack for my first REAL season in the mountains. It would help me fit all of the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches I have to stash (for my friends too) to get through a full day without stopping for breaks!

October 24, 2011 at 10:46 amthis will be my first back country year. I will use it for the right reasons and often.

October 24, 2011 at 11:24 amthis backpack would be perfect for me because I’m a film major for school, i can take my camera and extra equipment to the back country when we go shoot; on the other hand, this would be my first bag if i win it.

October 24, 2011 at 12:28 pmAs I’m entering middle age (yes, I’m admitting it) I’ve renewed my love for the outdoors and stopped making excuses for, “Why I can’t go…” Just got back from Mammoth yesterday, 10/23, and did a lot of hiking & fishing in the back country. As usual, I used my old college backpack to carry everything (15+ yr old pack).
Started cross country skiing last year to avoid my fear of tearing up my knees, breaking ankles, and strengthening my lower extremities. It’s fantastic! I am planning on making several trips to Mammoth this year to indulge my need to, “Get away from it all.” This would be my all-season backpack! It would be truly special if I won it!
Did I mention it will be my 40th birthday on November 4th? This is the first time I’m publicly admitting it. Ugh…this backpack would be a great salve for my middle age blues–kidding, I’m fine with my number 🙂 But I would love this backpack…it would hold a tremendous amount of sentimental value. It would allow me to trash my old, nasty, stinky, even the bears stay away from me backpack, and start fresh with the second half of my life.

October 24, 2011 at 2:51 pmYo! I would really love this bag this winter as i am currently using an ancient one that my mother bought me back when i was at school. I really like its retro’ness and i am quite reluctant to change it but its so holey now that all my important things get left behind on the mountain this include water , food and most importantly beers! So as you can see this is not on and there’s only so much that duct tape can withstand .
I think its time I let go and get a new one and would absolutely love this beauty and supose would be my fist bag that wasn’t designed for carrying books and pencil cases !

October 24, 2011 at 3:07 pmThe old one is ripping apart. Time for a replacement.

October 24, 2011 at 3:10 pmI need this backpack for all the back country hiking I’ll be doing with my board this year!
Dirk
October 24, 2011 at 3:12 pmI need the sentinel because I need 18-20 litres of space to be occupied by food, clothes, tools, etc. That space would be best surrounded by 420d Nylon and 600d Poly. It’s best if it’s black so that when I do spill something on it (which I will), then I won’t be self conscious about it before I wash it. I need somewhere to put my helmet and well, there is a helmet hammock. Oh my back hurts, but fortunately there is a molded back panel. I also need somewhere to put my goggles, oh wait…there is a goggle pocket. The real question is where am I going to put my board? Well, there is 2 way board mounting.
So I guess the pack answers the hard questions, and I trust K2. Plus, I won’t look like a fool using it….quite the opposite actually.

October 24, 2011 at 3:31 pmI desperately need this because my ex left me after 23 years and I need somethig this sweet to help me carry some of the crap I put up with for all those years. Sometimes God does smile upon us and a new adventure begins….
Hopefully in the backcountry as well…….

October 24, 2011 at 4:03 pmHi Shay,
funny, I just have been shopping for a bag like this. I searched many on line shops, not finding any suitable piece, I got to the streets of Toronto today in search of a bag. Since it is my day off, I spent the whole afternoon in downtown and uptown (there are many shops, but most of them have the same items), but no lack. Well, there was one I liked, but it was waaay out of my price range.
Why I need it: I need this nice pack, because I am putting together all the equipment required for back country snowboard trips. I spend my winters in Lake Louise, Canada, and this winter, my friends (who live there, lucky them!) and I are planning to venture to the wilderness of Canadian rockies in a hunt for the freshies. They are all experienced people, it is just I who will go for first time. And therefore, I would appreciate this gift a lot. Thank you, Shay, for doing these give aways. What a great idea!

October 24, 2011 at 4:43 pmI could really use a new backpack…right now im using one of those cheap gym backpacks with the drawstring straps and those are busted at the bottom so its more of a hobo bag. this would definitely help!

October 24, 2011 at 5:36 pmHey Shay
I need this backpack so I can continue to be chivalrous and keep carrying my better halfs stuff on the mountain this winter here in Japan.. My pockets always end up jammed and it takes me ages to remember where I “ingeniously” stashed her inner gloves/lip gloss/phone/etc. The pack looks like it would solve all those issues and keep the J-Pow out with ease.
Carn Shay, help a bloke out.

October 24, 2011 at 7:55 pmHi Shay! I need this backpack so I can get my friends back on the slopes. They’ve missed out on two seasons of boarding because they decided to pop out the cutest kid ever!!! Since they became prego I told them I’d build a contraption to put the little bugger in so he could come down the slopes with us. I think the K2 backpack will fit him perfectly and it looks like it comes with a window for him to peak out of!! Please help me get them back out on the slopes, as they were the ones who introduced me to powder in the first place!!

October 24, 2011 at 9:38 pmI need this backpack as I’ve had the same backpack for almost 7 yrs, and its not even a snow specific backpack.. With a season upcoming in Japan I will need a backpack that will let me carry back country gear as well as space for beef jerky.. I think you have the answer for me Shay!

October 24, 2011 at 10:52 pmI only have one backpack, and one of its straps is connected at the bottom by a shoelace; it’s the most advanced technology to date. Besides the fact that my pack has been ghetto-rigged to still be functional, I just moved to Steamboat Springs and I think you know how much snow I’ll be seeing this season. I’m gonna need a pack like the K2 sentinel pack; if only there was some way I could win one…..

October 25, 2011 at 4:21 pmsure, there are many backpacks that you can take with you snowboarding; but none that i would rather have my gear in then a K2 backpack, with every sick carve down the hill i know that my gear will be safe because K2 has my back.
James
October 25, 2011 at 4:37 pmI need this backpack ’cause it could save my life, or somebody else’s who I’m with, you know? Just 1 person having a pack, probe, shovel, & transceiver is better than nobody having them, but what if that person is the one that happens to get buried? Yeah, that’s my point! So the more people that have all the above, the better, that’s just reality & what can literally be the difference between life & death, so yeah, I’d like to “Live to ride another day”, & not just alone; Later, peace!

October 25, 2011 at 6:23 pmI’d like this snowboard backpack so I’ll have something to fit all my gear in, going to Nevada for Christmas. I hope this backpack is an early christmas present so I can shred! May the best boarder win!
