It’s a great feeling to know that winter is almost here! A fresh blanket of snow was seen on the mountain yesterday that helped brighten my day and made me realize I need to hear your input on reviews for this upcoming season! I want to hear from you what boards/bindings to ride and review this season, what boards need reviews and what gear you want to know more about.
So far for 2011-12, I have ridden 36 snowboards and 16 bindings that are in the review list here and two more snowboard reviews are coming up soon! The season hasn’t even started so that means I have a lot more time to ride more 11-12 gear.
I welcome all responses for all types of boards/bindings, the most popular requested gear will go to the top of the list and this list will be in my pocket all season as I cross it off and write up a review on it. I understand that online reviews are hard to come by, some companies/models are even harder to find reviews on which is why I want your input on what you want to be reviewed.
Just remember I ride both men’s and women’s boards and bindings. I’ll be reviewing based on my riding style which varies from freeriding to trees to powder to pipe to park. I’m not the best park rider but I’m progressing at it. Make sure you look to see if I’ve already ridden the board/binding you are interested in, here’s the list of snowboards and bindings.
If you want me to ride something, to review it…post a comment (anyone can do it) and tell me what you want me to ride.

October 6, 2011 at 7:25 amOnly review power boards this season… burton fish reviews on hard pack, let us know how the banana hammock takes the pipe, and we NEED to know how well the jones hovercraft will take on the double kinks.
But really, lots and lots of pow sticks.

October 6, 2011 at 7:26 amRossignol Jibsaw!!!! I can’t find much of anything on that board and the combined tech looks very interesting: magnetraction (lib tech), flat kicks (capita), and unique rocker tech… not to mention the graphics

October 6, 2011 at 7:55 amIf you can get your hands on a split from Chimera and review it, that would be awesome.
Also, Lib’s La Niña MC, T.Rice Pro Split and Birdman and GNU’s Billy Goat Split and Dirty Pillow.
Also, a review of the Spark R&D Burner (LT or regular) and of course the Karakoram split bindings as well.

October 6, 2011 at 7:41 pmMore Bataleon, especially their female specific boards, its so hard to find a review on them! I’m curious to know how different the 2012 boards are vs their older boards since they changed up the TBT to extend from tip to tail this year. I also would love to see a review on their new board, the Feelbetter.

October 7, 2011 at 5:42 pmHi Micha,
For what I understood, the Lobster Jib Board looks like a copy of Bataleon Disaster and the Lobster Park Board is essentially a Bataleon Evil Twin… So if you find out Bataleon Disaster or Evil Twin 2012 review it should be about the same as Lobster snowboard in my opinion…

October 7, 2011 at 6:35 pmany chane we will see a boot review any time soon, or will we only see the Vans Veil in pics forever?
Shay
October 8, 2011 at 9:52 amIan, boot fit is such an important part of boots that there’s no point in me reviewing boots. I don’t even review the Veil’s because we all have different feet and fit is the only thing that matters.

October 10, 2011 at 12:22 amCapita Mid-life Zero please. The mid-life has been one of capita’s most solid boards throughout the years and I’m wondering how the switch to zero camber affects this board and how it rides. Also, I feel that there aren’t too many boards with zero camber that are reviewed so any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

October 10, 2011 at 7:25 amMy wish list for your testing:
Arbor Coda
Arbor Element Rocker (Compare it with Coda. They are almost identical except the position of their Bamboo struts. I would like to know what difference in riding the position of struts make.)
Rossignol Experience
Rossignol Krypto (Compare it with Experience. The Krypto is almost identical with the Ex, only it is supposed to be softer. I would like to hear your take on them.)
Thank you
jennifer
October 10, 2011 at 7:08 pmI’m going to throw in something different here. I ride Nidecker Princess, the stiffest women’s freeride board available in the market, and I’d like to get your take on it, especially in powder, which I don’t get to ride much at all. Been reading your blog for a long time, and I think you will enjoy its carving ability, and think that you will be able to push it hard. I usually ride a 149, but with the Princess, I ride a 154 to fully take advantage of the stiffness. I think you should try the next size up, the 159, or even try their men’s boards such as the Legend.

I’d also like to see the higher-end Drake bindings.
How about doing a comparison of all the different edge techs (Magnetraction, Equalizer, Side Effects, Vario-Grip, etc…)
And the BIRDMAN!!
