A Visit to Mimi’s Cookie Bar!

When it comes to skiing and snowboarding, cookies are probably the last thing to be considered alongside our favorite outdoor activity. But in Mammoth Lakes, CA cookies are being served up near the slopes in an assortment of flavors with a variety of healthy options. It was only last month that Mimi’s Cookie Bar went from online store to brick ‘n mortar cookie shop.

The smell of fresh baked gourmet cookies comes from Old Mammoth Road directly in Mammoth Lakes.  The slopes are just minutes away, snowboards and skis line the walls and cookies await your visit. I stopped into Mimi’s Cookie Bar on Sunday to grab a batch of cookies for Sunday Night Football.

With ties to pro snowboarders, pro skiers and industry folk, Mimi Kurz has made a name for itself through making cookies for everyone.

Each day there are five flavors to choose from that are fresh baked out of the oven and Mimi does a great job of posting on social media what you can expect each visit. During my visit, the cookies of the day were Frosted Chocolate Coconut, Orange Creamsicle, Chocolate Frosted Peanut Butter and Dad’s Coconut Chocolate Chip.  I ended up getting an assortment to take home so I could try all the flavors.  My favorite ended up being Dad’s Coconut Chocolate Chip – you just can’t beat a classic!

In addition to the classics, you can special order signature cookies like Gabi Viteri’s Caramel Drenched Dream, Jack Mitrani’s the PB & J-ack or treat your dog to a Peanut Butter Honey Oatmeal dog cookie, you can order those online at www.mimiscookiebar.com

The newest addition to Mimi’s Cookie Bar is the frozen yogurt machine.  Combine your cookies into frozen yogurt flavors like Strawberry, Cheesecake, Raspberry, Peach and more.

I bought almost two dozen cookies to take home just in time for the football game. Easy to go box with cookie delights.
