Facemask Friday: Pom Pom

When it comes to keeping your face warm on the mountain, facemasks do the job.  On the deep powder days, they keep you from breathing in the snow.  On the sunny days, they keep you from getting burnt.  On windy days, they keep your face from going numb.  Gone are the days that you have to wear a basic black mask and look like a bank robber, now plenty of companies offer bandanas, tubes, balaclava’s in an assortment of designs and colors.

Check back every Friday I’ll be giving away a facemask in a different brand/design/style.  To enter the contest, read the directions below and leave your comment by midnight tonight.  I’ll announce the winner in this post tomorrow morning.

About the Facemask:
Designed with the help of team riders Raewyn Reid and Robin Van Gyn, These slouchy neck tubes are perfect for the not-too-cold weather. The outside features dry-tec® moisture wicking fabric and the inside is lined with super breathable fabric. Protects you from the wind while also keeping your face dry. Perfect for the winter bike rides too.

Steps to win the Pom-Pom Facemask:

1.  Answer this question in your comment (make sure to use your correct email address):   If you could change one thing about snowboarding, what would it be?

2.  You have till midnight tonight, September 9 to enter for this facemask.

3.  All the correct answer comments will be written down and a winner will be randomly drawn from a bowl or kitchen pot ( you know like the lottery).

4.  A winner will be announced in this blog post after midnight.  I like to sleep so I will probably will pick a winner tomorrow morning.

Thanks to Pom-Pom for being part of Facemask Friday!

I’d love to change the equality – more spots open for women to compete (especially in the finals) and equal prize money too. I believe the only competition that has equal prize money is the Burton Open series – but they still have less spots in the final for women than the men do.

I’d make lift chairs more conducive to boarders. Most (all?) are built only for skis, and boards constantly rub against each other trying to sit on a lift.

I would change all the resorts that don’t allow snowboarders such as Deer Valley and Alta to open for everybody, mountains shouldn’t be considerent private properties! mountains are there for all to enjoy, not to close and discriminate others just cause they don’t like snowboarding, how lame! this is something that I would like to change in snowboarding for sure 🙂

I would change there being a pants policy. Pants off dance off on the dance floor.

More boardercross courses at resorts. Or slalom flags on a run.

I’d go to the pants off party. I’d also like to change whole drive to the mountain thing. There should be comprehensive public transport to the mountains. screw driving.

I would change the lift ticket prices to something more reasonable (not $100/day)

My vote also goes for lower lift ticket prices. At the moment I’m having to work my butt off so that I can hit up the slopes this winter.
