Holden 2011-2012

Founded by Pro snowboarder Mikey LeBlanc and designer Scott Zergebel, Holden has kept their goals set on a fusion of fashion and function with design, tailored fits and high quality technical features in environmentally committed outerwear.  Their desire is to create products that make people happier and healthier.  Holden has grown from the quiet NW brand into well known eco friendly brand in snowboarding.

For 2012, Holden offers three collections:  the limited (a pinnacle series using the most premium fabrics, technologies and design details to last a lifetime), the Holden (the heart and soul, timeless quality, excellence in fabrication, obsessive attention to detail and a continued dedication to eco-friendlier) and the Holden Classics (100 percent pure Holden, it celebrates Holden’s most renowned cuts, colors and silhouettes).  Holden also branches out with year round wear of headwear, fall jackets, fleece and t-shirts.  Everything from Holden comes in the Holden fit, a tailored fit designed to not be tight and not huge but designed for movement.

For collaborations, Holden has joined efforts with Union Bindings and Vans Boots for 2012.  Both of the collaborations are at the bottom of the post.

Holden Evergreen

The Evergreen Jacket is built to take work wear like beatings.  Classic mountaineer styling combines with the pinnacle of “eco-friendlier” technical function and performance details.  Heavy  weight, extra durable oxford weave, Japanese made fabric with 20,000mm/10,000gm waterproof/breathable toray dermizax laminate.  Features riri aquazip zippers, recco avalanche recovery reflectors, DWR, SCafe Recycled Coffee Lining, 3-way adjustable hood, under arm vents, articulated arms, recycled polyester, targeted fleece insulation, DWR treated taffeta.

Holden Laurent

LNP is one of the stars of the Holden professional snowboard team.  His distinctive style, as well as his crazy video parts and numerous magazine covers, warranted this collaboration.  The Laurent is a quilted military jacket that he can wear every day on and off his snowboard.  Paquin’s favorite band Black Sabbath helped inspired the patch artwork details.    Features 80g polyfill insulation, pit zips, SCAFE recycled coffee lining, targeted fleece insulation, wool like rib at cuff, recycled polyester lining, adjustable hood, DWR treated taffeta lining.

Holden Tarquin

Featuring traditional work shirt styling adapted for on hill function.  This jacket has all the waterproof/breathable protection you could need in snowy, cold conditions.  Two hood options, fleece and waterproof, deliver the classic construction and look for the purists.  Features fleece hood fabrication, 40 gram polyfill insulation, under arm vents, SCAFE recycled coffee lining, recycled polyester lining, adjustable hood, DWR treated taffeta lining, 10,000mm/10,000gm.

Holden McMillan w/screened graphic

Holden Vans Collaboration

The Holden snowboard boot and Sk8-hi shoe project began as a interactive product exploration between Vans and Holden, and led to a discovery of the common values and design sensibilities the two brands share.  The Holden boot features premium Holden materialization, pleasure cuff, stainless steel double posted hex hooks, internal wrap harness and OTW lace lock, quadfit X thermal liner with outlast, V4 footbed with outlast, OTW lite outsole.  Flex=3.
