One thing missing in California that’s different from Colorado is the absence of Gaper Day. It just doesn’t exist here. April 1st was like any other day on the mountain as far as I could tell. I headed out for the daily shred break to make laps with the skier and since both of us lived in Colorado, it was kind of weird not seeing the usual crazyness that happens on Gaper Day. Do I miss it? Nah…snowboarding is fun without it.
