Mammoth 12/22/10

The numbers keep adding up, 8ft, 10ft, 11ft.  Each day there’s more snow on the mountain that’s turning into a good base for the rest of the season.  Last night we got another foot on the mountain and in some spots, it meant a couple feet deep of snow.  Adam and Ben from TWS Snowboarding arrived in town late last night and we hit up the mountain today for an early morning of riding before I headed into work.

The first stop this morning was chair #22 which was ripe for the picking and one of my favorite lifts so far when the top of the mountain isn’t open.

I had the helmet cam on so captured a couple of the runs again.  It was definitely a day to have the cam!

Plenty of powder to be enjoyed.  It was definitely a great day, one run in particular was insane.  Just untouched powder and just me making tracks.

It was a seriously great morning on the mountain.  Run after run was amazing!  I had such a good time with the guys and took some good falls in fluffy powder but sooo much fun.  Weather is supposed to be clearing up the next couple days so hopefully more terrain and steeper lifts will open.
