Usually when you flip through a magazine you might check out a couple ads but the latest Columbia omni-tech advertisements featuring naked people holding up the omni jackets in the winter definitely stop you in your tracks. Omni-heat claims to be 20% warmer than the ordinary lining by breathing and regulating temperatures so you don’t get overheated.
When Columbia got in touch with me about being about to test and review the omni-heat, it was an easy decision…just send it over. Luckily for me when the jacket arrived, I got to try out a puffy perfect for cold powder day jacket.

For the last couple months I’ve been rocking the jacket in the morning with just a t-shirt underneath on the cold chilly days and playing in the snow with. It’s my warmest jacket in the collection and so far the omni heat has treated me great in the cold weather. It also keeps me dry when it starts raining like this morning.

December 10, 2010 at 7:56 amhey,
thanks for the imput, I bought a snow suit for my three year old this winter and it is columbia with the omni heat label. I was worried about its water resistance as most columbia stuff I found does not put it in the label, and to it seemed pretty thin. Which something I both liked and disliked about the suit. I like it because he’s not a marshmellow and has freedom of movement but you always worry about them getting cold. Your ressurance and imput is greatly appreciated!
thanks from Sarah a worried mom!

December 19, 2010 at 8:51 pmThat’s it!? Is this something like ‘if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything’? Because you didn’t really say anything about the jacket, other than ‘thanks for the freebie, it’s warm.’ Usually your reviews are far more in-depth.

I’ll have a full review up soon but so far been testing out the jacket in a bunch of conditions especially the omni heat tech.
Yak,
This is just a write up about what I’ll be wearing not a review. Trust me my reviews go way more indepth. But yeah this is just a post about wearing it, not a review.
