I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather but it’s hard to resist the temptation of going out snowboarding when someone convinces you to. Today was that day, figured the cold/cough would go away with some fresh air and headed out with Dan for a sunny afternoon of shred.
I don’t understand the skier vs snowboarder issue. I enjoy riding with skiers as much as I do snowboarders, they just see lines differently than us and they pull you on flats (hopefully). Dan who handles PR is a skier so we loaded up the gondola for the first turns. One lap to the park and we met up with the Line Traveling Circus Crew. Props to those guys, I’ve watched their videos after working with some of them this summer at Windells and just rad shit they pull off.

After a couple laps I headed out with Paul and his friend to get some turns with them. The mountain conditions are hardpacked to icy in spots, definitely need the storm that is coming this weekend and it’s supposed to be a good one (so crossing fingers!).

Of course the last run I decide to hit one of the boxes for the first time and end up catching the edge and making out with the snow. Got a nice raspberry on the chin and bruised cheek but I’m gonna get it.

I guess skier are jealous or envious because they wish to have no stick in their hands too 😉

November 18, 2010 at 10:45 pmSkiers can be cool but a majority of em at Crystal are ski racer pricks and the entire mountain hates em cause they block runs off and are asses all over the mountain…
