Now that temperatures are dropping, specks of snow have been seen in the upper regions and winter is almost here…it’s time for your input on upcoming reviews for the 2010-2011 season. I want to hear from you what boards/bindings to ride and review this season, what boards need reviews and what gear you want to know more about.
[singlepic id=5495 w=400 h=300 float=]
So far for 2010-2011, I have ridden 30 snowboards that are in the review list here and the 10-11 season hasn’t even started so that means I have a lot more time to ride more 10-11 snowboards.
I welcome all responses for all types of boards/bindings, the most popular requested gear will go to the top of the list and this list will be in my pocket all season as I cross it off and write up a review on it. I understand that online reviews are hard to come by, some companies/models are even harder to find reviews on which is why I want your input on what you want to be reviewed.
Just remember I ride both men’s and women’s boards and bindings. I’ll be reviewing based on my riding style which varies from freeriding to trees to powder to pipe to park. I’m not the best park rider but I’m progressing at it. Make sure you look to see if I’ve already ridden the board/binding you are interested in, here’s the list of snowboards and bindings.
If you want me to ride something, to review it…post a comment (anyone can do it) and tell me what you want me to ride.

September 13, 2010 at 11:52 amI’m looking at the the Capita Charlie Slasher/Party Shark, the GNU Riders’ Choice now that it’s got C2 (will it really change THAT much?), the Burton Custom Flying V, and the Capita Indoor Survival FK.
For bindings, I’m always interested in the latest version of the Cartels – both est and regular versions. I’m also curious about the Union Force SL and Union Asadachi III binders.
Do you know where you’re spending the winter yet? If it’s here in Washington, maybe I’ll see you at Alpental or Crystal!

September 13, 2010 at 11:57 amI’d definitely be interested in your thoughts on the Bataleon Jam.
Some more coverage also on the rest of the YES range to also cover some budget ranges, the Basic and the Optimistic.
And when and if you manage to get your hands on some of the Nidecker boards when they come out.
Cheers Shay!

September 13, 2010 at 1:27 pmYou should see if you can get your paws on a Volcom board. How sick would that be! Haha, just kidding, but seriously…
I would like to hear your opinion on Weekend snowboards because I don’t know anything about them. And you should ride the Rossi Diva and the DC Biddy because they’re simply amazing. Miss ya Shay! Looking forward to the reviews!

September 13, 2010 at 7:39 pmHows about the Never Summer Pandora. I know you have the hook up with them so I know you can tell me if its an appropriate stick for a 5’4″ Female ripper. Im asking for my long term G.F. so I want to make sure she’s gonna be happy.
Also! The Head i.ct Kers and some super responsive high end, responsive, bindings.
For once in my life I’m making decent money and I feel like its time for some irresponsible spending.

September 14, 2010 at 4:46 amIt would be interesting if you could find a board that comes with standard and some sort of reverse/combo camber and do a compare and contrast, even if it was last year’s vs. this year’s (assuming no major changes to the board were made other than camber). I think I have seen through the hype, and realize that their is not one perfect camber option, but I am interested to see what you think. Definitely review the Arbor Push (maybe your thoughts on the new manufacturing facility, and loss of dimpled p-tex), as women’s boards just don’t get reviewed. I would love to see the NS Raptor and F-1 (if I’m not mistaken, the Raptor is more like an expensinve Premier and the F-1 is a little more freeride, now?). Skate Banana is an obvious choice, and I would also be interested in Burton Fish reviews as well. Lastly, Jones – based on the desriptions of these boards, I would pretty much buy one of each, add a Skate Banana and call it a day – quiver completed; please review them all if you can!

September 14, 2010 at 8:28 amMatty, I rode the Charlie through some sick sick powder last year. I’m from the Midwest where 3 inches of new is considered powder ,so coming out here (washington) I knew I needed a POW board. Charlie helped me enjoy it immensely! Awesome board that does exactly what it says its going to do. I’ll be happy to answer any questions on it for you or Shay.

September 14, 2010 at 1:28 pmMatt never ridden a malolo but a friend of mine has ridden both and hands down Charlie wins. Used union forces on the board.
Let me tell you this about it, since I wasn’t used to powder it made it reallly really easy to ride it. I nosed down into the snow up to me knees ,adjusted my shoulders a little and boom, I was right back up on top again. All you have to do is center your stance on the sidecut and the board does all the work.

And how could we also leave out the Pam board? Seems like a few manufacturers are having some fun with the graphics of the boards this season.
