Each summer the Industry Profile Interviews take over to give a glimpse into the jobs, people and experience it takes to work in the snowboard industry. There are people in every type of job, from every type of background who help contribute to the snowboard industry. I’ve lined up interviewees ranging from company owners to interns, from pro riders to amateur riders, product designers to bloggers to give you a perspective of what they do and how they got there.

Starting in June, the series will continue on for 2010 and every Tuesday and Thursday you’ll find a new interview on shayboarder.com. This summer the interview format changed to be a slimmer interview with only 10 questions. I found that I always wondered what mattered more in the snowboard industry…education vs experience. You’ll hear from industry people what their thoughts are.
Here are the 2009 Industry Profiles in case you missed them…

May 17, 2010 at 6:26 amreally like the designer / engineer interviews. You don’t hear it from that side as much as the marketing side. I like to know what it is that separate their product from the rest of the industry.
