Steamboat 2/25/10

I love the days when I get the phone call from a friend saying it’s time to shred together.  Today was that day, got the call from Philip and twenty minutes later we were hitting the slopes for my ride break.

Steamboat received a couple new inches which meant there was some good powder in the trees if you were willing to find it.  The trees were beautiful today, we mostly stuck to the clock area and found spots where barely anyone had ridden.  It was definitely off the beaten path for going into new trees today on each run.

Philip was kind enough to take my camera and get some video of me riding in the trees, it’s short and sweet but fun!

Surprisingly some of the best most untouched snow was in the trees on lower mountain below the gondola, we found that out as we hit up the trees on the way down the mountain to end the ride break of fun.  It’s still snowing so looks like a good powder day in the boat tomorrow!
