It’s the beginning of demos here in Colorado which means that your favorite companies will be available to try out on snow and see what you think about the gear. This is where I spend a lot of my time for reviews so if you happen to attend a demo, look for me cause chances are that I will be there as well.
Currently for this upcoming weekend, I’ll be riding Loveland on Saturday for the Lib Tech Rider Appreciation and Demo Day, Lib and GNU boards available and if you are early to the tent you get a coupon for a $25 lift ticket. On Sunday I’ll be riding Copper and Capita/Union will be there for both days this weekend to demo out equipment. Let the review season begin!

I’ll be updating this list as I see the demo dates get announced from companies. Right now there’s a smaller percentage than normal who know their dates but this will give you a good idea on what dates might have more brands present.
Always check with the mountain or company prior to the demo to make sure it will happen. These days are usually tentative so changes might occur.
Remember to bring your drivers license and credit card to demo!

November 5, 2009 at 9:35 pmIzck, Sweet you’ll be out in CO during the demo weekend! A while ago I did a brief write up on demos and you might find it useful. Pretty much you show up with a drivers license/credit card, fill out maybe an info sheet and pick out which board you want to ride. Some companies let you borrow it for a couple runs or maybe all day. It’s always nice to return it when they ask because when you are the last board out, it’s not fun for them to wait around for you. Just ride it and try it out.
Jay, I know I’m bummed too for you!

November 5, 2009 at 9:55 pmHow old do you have to be to demo Gear?

November 6, 2009 at 7:42 amYep 18 or older and if you are under 18 need your parents there for their credit card, license and signing the waiver.

December 8, 2009 at 9:27 pmI have been out at Copper since opening day. So far I have hit up the Capita demo, Neversummer demo, Forum Demo, and I also get free demos from Copper Mountain rentals department (where I work). I took out all rockered/reversed camber boards, Capita Horroscope FK 152, Ride Machete 155, Neversumer Evo 151 and 153, and the Forum Youngblood 152. All were fun to ride on, super flexible and great pop jumps, and less catchy when I buttered downhill. I found the Forum Youngblood my favorite to ride for its edge control in my hard carving and s-turning style, it gripped the slope so tightly, super fun for slope surfing instead of straight line downhill.
What other Demo days are coming my way this season? S.
