Shay Update: CO and Whistler Telus Festival & Grenade Games

It’s about to be traveling time for Shayboarder.com. I’ll be traveling around Colorado for the next four days between Steamboat, Denver and Summit County to get some riding time in and participate in fun stories for the blog. Then on Monday I’ll be flying out to Vancouver, BC to head up to Whistler for a week to enjoy the Telus Festival/Grenade Games. Keep updated on the shayboarder twitter!

This truly is my favorite time of year, my town Steamboat is quiet right now since we’re in mud season where everyone travels to exotic locations but I continue to shred it up and head to Whistler. Last year when I left Whistler I didn’t feel like I had enough time and this year with the Grenade Games going on, it was the perfect year to take a long week and really enjoy it.

Whistler Telus Festival/Grenade Games
So I’ll be in Canada from April 20th to 27th snowboarding Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, checking out the Grenade Games and posting up event photos/reports and having an amazing time at Telus Festival with the live music and activities going on. You can read my daily updates on here but I’ll also be twittering as the adventure goes on here. Yobeat was kind enough to mention that I’ll be covering the event, not days later but enjoying it as it goes on and I will definitely post at the end of each day. Please be aware that as I’ll be having fun on vacation, there will be some downtime from product posts and reviews.

I’ll be attending the on-snow demos to try out brands that I normally don’t get the chance to like Prior Snowboards, Endeavor Snowboards, Bataleon…I’ll be demo’ing companies that are harder to get on so check for those reports.

If you are going to be at Whistler during Telus Festival, shoot me an email or twitter and we can try to meet up!

When I get back from Whistler, I’ll be spending time at Loveland closing out their season and A-Basin to finish off my season of snowboarding. With surgery on May 20th, the season is rapidly winding down for me but I’m looking forward to all the articles I’ll finally have time to write.

An update on the new shayboarder.com, only one section needs to be finished…the most important section, reviews. It’s coming along and one day I’ll have the new site up. Until then, keep enjoying my journey and updates along the way.
