After rolling into Park City late last night, today was the first of three days on the slopes. We decided to hit up Park City.
We spent the first lap through the park near the parking lot, just getting familiar with my gear and getting back on snow.
I was riding the Capita Saturnia with GNU agro bindings, but I hadn’t adjusted the agro’s to my boots yet so I ended up needing to switch out boards so I will try to ride them again after adjusting them.
We spent the early afternoon riding and checking out the mountain on our own without a trail map. It was quite a day checking out the terrain on our own.
Steph was able to meet up with us for afternoon riding, so we all headed up together to enjoy the comfort of a local who knows the mountain.
We followed Steph through some tree runs that offered up some leftover powder from Utah’s snowfall earlier this week. I got to find some spots where there was still fluffy powder but the majority of it was heavier leftover powder which was still fun to play in.
Park City used to be all mining so on the mountain there are old mining shacks and buildings no longer in use but amazing to ride by. We found a old shack on the last run which was rideable and I got Zac and Steph to hit the shack for some photo opportunities.
After riding we had some downtime before meeting up for dinner and drinks, so we headed up to Olympic Park to have some fun.
