Nitro Snowboards 2009-2010

If you get your hands on the 09-10 Nitro Catalog, you might find yourself thinking you are looking at a record album because of the shear size of it. The catalog is really looking at the visual liberation through the sound of snowboarding and would make a great coffee table book. With 20 years under their belt, they have become stronger and have stuck to their guns, making their own way in snowboarding.

If there’s one company bent on the sound of snowboarding, it’s Nitro with a badass look mixed between snowboarding and skateboarding and music.

With a couple new boards to the collection and a thirst for making boards for every type of rider, the evolution continues as 2009-2010 approaches.

Nitro is looking insane for next year, they are definitely stepping it up. The Austin Smith skull board has to be my favorite graphic I’ve seen for next year. I’ll be on that board without a doubt.

    Shay,
Any info on the Rook? Is it the T2 replacement?

I rode the rook at Keystone. It was my favorite board at the demo. It’s flat so has a pre-broken in feel with the snap and response of a new board. Mid flex on the softer side but wont wash out on big jumps and landings. The quadratic sidecut held an edge through everything. All in all I’ll own this board next season. Super fun do it all freestyle board. I loved the Zero camber too. The rep Josh told me this replaces the T2, it’s a much better board.

Thanks Walker for your reply! Awesome you were able to ride it at the Keystone demo and are gonna buy it. Interesting about the pre-broken in feel, good to know!

Would anyone happen to know if the 09-10 Team board in a 162 is going to have that white top sheet graphic or the black one? Im trying to decide if i should get the 08-09 Team 162 or wait for next years, but im not into the white top sheetgraphic. Thanks!
