We headed up to Whistler to ride for the day. It was a late start and luckily a Starbucks stop was on the way before hitting up the Whistler gondola in the base. We took one run all together.
Riding Whistler is just beautiful

Some of the group went inside for lunch and recovered from the night before by taking it easy on riding.
I went with Mark and Karmel so we could enjoy the demo’s for the day. Since it was a late start we weren’t able to demo too many boards. But the companies at the demos were Endeavor, Capita, Ride, Salomon, Never Summer, Prior, and Signal. It was a good chance to get on more 08-09 snowboards.

I ended up sticking with two new companies to ride that I wouldn’t normally get the chance to. I was tempted to take out the fix again but another time I will. Today I rode the Prior Majestic and the Endeavor Roots.
Mark took out a Prior and Signal snowboard and Karmel took out a Salomon Radiant and Never Summer Infinity.

Last run down took a while with safety people making sure you went slow and the slush the entire way down the bottom of Whistler.

With live music in the base, we camped out at Black’s Pub on the patio to enjoy the last rays of sunshine and live music. Of course enjoying many pitchers of beer and ending the day with friends.

April 15, 2008 at 2:19 pmGlad to see you tried an Endeavor finally shay! If you still have a chance, you should ride a BOD or a Live Series, they seem right up your alley.

April 16, 2008 at 12:07 pmYeah bummer I didn’t know you were gonna be up there too! I am in Seattle now so no chance to ride the demos there next weekend. Hopefully another time with Endeavor.

April 22, 2008 at 4:13 pmI know, I wanted to try a Signal but the two other companies Prior and Endeavor were ones that would be harder to demo in the US…so signal was 3rd in line and not enough time unfortunately. But Marc did try a signal and was amazed by the soft flex as I recall.
