Even after I spent the morning snowmobiling, when I got back into Steamboat Springs and it was a sunny bluebird day…I knew I’d spend the remainder of the afternoon in the half pipe. I made it up on the mountain around 2pm totally stoked that it was a sunny day and a good day to ride pipe.
After texting Tom the park supervisor to make sure it was open (pipe sometimes won’t be open after powder dumps), I made my way to the hill.
Pipe was good today, the walls were icy but not many people were in the park so it was a mellow day. I made laps until the Bashor chairlift closed at 4pm. I’m still working on getting back into pipe and this year I’ve been trying to get comfortable with riding switch in the pipe.
